VOLUNTEER

Join a community of like-minded people, gain experience being part of a festival team and enjoy cutting-edge art and music at Jupiter Artland.

We truly appreciate the contribution volunteers make and in addition to entry you will receive 1 free meal and a drink for each shift you work. We aim to provide a highly enjoyable experience and an insight into how the festival takes shape.


Jupiter Rising Volunteers will get the following:

- Festival Pass, access to the music, art, talks and creativity programmed in Jupiter Rising festival weekend

- Space in the artist / staff camping area should you wish to camp

- Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner plus a drink when on a shift

- A travel subsidy to contribute to expenses for volunteers travelling within central cities


We are looking for volunteers for the following roles:


ART ASSISTANT

Dressing the site, painting stages and signage. Taking on visual tasks as required by the team in the lead-up to, and throughout the festival. Please note this role may require early arrival on site.


BOX OFFICE

Dealing with festival guests and artist arrivals, you will be managing guest lists to issue wristbands, and handling cash, as well as providing information about the festival and site. As the first point of contact for arrivals, a friendly, calm and welcoming manner is essential.


MERCH ASSISTANT

Managing artists merchandise, including stock and cash handling, dealing with artists and record keeping as well as communicating with audiences.


RUNNER

A key role, helping out with general organisational tasks and all manner of odd jobs across the site as they arise throughout the weekend, providing vital assistance to the crew and production team. Driving license and car are not essential but please note if you do have either/both. This role requires the ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure. Please note this role may require early arrival on site.


STAGE MANAGEMENT

Assisting the sound crew with line checks and ensuring the smooth running of performance areas. Providing support for artists including moving and ensuring the safe storage of artist equipment.


STEWARD

Providing information to audience and artists throughout the site, and looking after areas including the car park, campsite, and out of bounds areas. Confident communication required.


WORKSHOP ASSISTANT

Assisting artists with the facilitation and delivery of workshops.


Please note, excellent communication, flexibility and team spirit are required for all positions! Volunteers must be 18+ by 1 August 2022. We require all volunteers to be able to attend a volunteer induction day ahead of the festival.
