Mandy McIntosh

Mandy McIntosh is a Glaswegian artist who works in a variety of different disciplines and combinations, including sculpture, fashion and textiles, community based art and moving image. She is a trained fashion knitwear designer and worked with KENZO in Paris for two years before returning to complete her Masters at Glasgow School of Art. Within her practice, she maintains a strong aesthetically driven approach, often using fashion illustration as a basis for sculptures of women, including a recent bronze tribute to May Donoghue installed in Paisley.

She is currently studying for PhD at Glasgow School of Art, pursuing ideas of community art and material permanence. Her moving image works have been commissioned by Scottish Screen, Channel Four and Creative Scotland, and has been screened and broadcast nationally and internationally.
