With a repertoire of precarious pop songs and frequent improvised departures, ILL revel in the right to be weird, exploring the borders between the funny and the sinister, the personal and the political, the mundane and the surreal.

Based in Manchester, the band formed in 2012 and have since released a string of self-produced singles accompanied by DIY artwork and music videos. Their debut album ‘We Are ILL’ came out on Box Records in May 2018 and was acknowledged as a celebration of womanhood that’s wry, gleeful and brilliantly bold by Q Magazine.
